From Poverty to Purpose: A Journey to Financial Freedom
Growing up in poverty, I dreamed of financially supporting my entire family. This dream was a driving force throughout my childhood. However, marriage and kids made this goal seem increasingly distant as life progressed. The challenges of everyday life dimmed the hope I once had.
During the COVID pandemic, I faced severe mental health struggles, which further clouded my vision. It was during this dark period that I turned to God for guidance and healing. God walked with me through my recovery, revealing what I needed to do with my life.
One day, a sermon by TD Jakes titled "Bigger Than You Think" caught my attention. The words resonated deeply, prompting me to soul-search and discover my true purpose. It was then that I stumbled upon the idea of creating a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching financial literacy and providing financial assistance—not just for my family but for the entire world.
This newfound purpose has been transformative. On March 9, 2024, our non-profit was born. This journey has not only changed my life but also the lives of my family and the countless individuals who will become part of our community. I feel truly blessed to be called to do this work for Jesus, and we are just beginning.
Currently, we have over 60 clients and have not officially opened our doors. Our community is growing rapidly. My vision is to have 10% of the world's population, approximately 700 million people, participate in this organization.
